Liverpool will be ranked as third seeds when next season's Champions League competition gets underway.
The Reds - beaten finalists in Athens in May and five times winners of the tournament - are ranked behind AC Milan and Barcelona in the standings but will avoid the elite teams in European football if they triumph in their third round qualifier and progress into the group stages. England are the only country to have all of their teams seeded, with Chelsea being named among the top eight sides for the first time.
